It is also the only kind of book to use QR codes. We aim to highlight the most unique areas of the book to entice potential customers by including key phrases, a table of contents, extracts and emphasis on QR codes. Stills: Centre for Photography is a photographic gallery based in the Old Town, City Centre of Edinburgh who offer exhibitions, facilities and workshops for those that are enthusiastic about photography. Established in 1977 is has become one of Scotland’s leading photographic galleries. For their latest exhibition, The Collection Series: Works from a private photography collection & Alan Dimmick’s studio archive, 1977-2017 we were invited to create an A3 poster publication to advertise the show. We felt with the majority of the photographs being produced through analogue techniques we wanted to design the artwork in a minimal and stripped back style to reflect that of the images in the exhibition.

Copenhagen Photo Festival

15.11.16

Artist and photographer, Simon McAuley & Ida Arentoft have selected us to design the publication for their upcoming exhibition at the Copenhagen Photo Festival which exhibits on the 1st June. We are absolutely thrilled to be able to be a part of their show which exhibited a couple of years ago at Project Ability in Glasgow. The show involves photographs they took in Scotland and Denmark, respectively. However, were both shooting North on the same longitude and latitude with emphasis on light, time and landscape. The publication we have been commissioned to make is an A3/4 four fold publication with importance placed on laying out the photographs in varying sizes and overlaying guidelines which is some of the discussion whilst they were shooting. Also, they require an abstract map that alludes to the similar path they were on during this project highlighting how close they were in terms of co-ordinates.
